He has appeared in many prestigious venues such as the Tonhalle in Zurich; the Salle Pleyel, Theatre des Champs Elysées in Paris; the Herkulessaal in Munich; and for festivals like Radio France Festival, Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse and the Caramoor Festival. Gabriele Carcano collaborated with conductors such as Stephan Solyom, Alain Altinoglu, and Lawrence Foster, as well as with instrumentalists Peter Wiley, Andrea Lucchesini, Colin Carr, and Dora Schwarzberg, among others. At the invitation of pianist Mitsuko Uchida, he participated in the prestigious Marlboro Music Festival during the summers of 2010 through 2012 and took part of two Musicians from Marlboro Tour in the USA. Upcoming engagements also include the return to Zürich Tonhalle, a series of concerts with cellist Marie-Elisabeth Hecker and appearances in Paris (Louvre Museum), Montpellier, Kissingen Sommer Festival, on the Santa Cecilia series in Rome and with the Verdi Orchestra in Milan. Born in Turin in 1985, Gabriele Carcano graduated from the Conservatory G. Verdi. He continued his studies with Andrea Lucchesini at the Accademia di Musica in Pinerolo and with Aldo Ciccolini in Paris, followed by Nicholas Angelich at the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique as well as with Marie Françoise Bucquet. He has also worked with Richard Goode, Mitsuko Uchida and Robert McDonald.
